We Intern In The Corridor

Our fabulous interns for the summer!

Our fabulous interns for the summer!

Every semester, the office of the College Hill Alliance hires up to four Mercer University students who express keen interest in working directly with the College Hill Corridor initiative. If you are a student who wants to get involved with the community, e-mail us at info@collegehillmacon.com.

This summer, you’ll be seeing a lot of Joshua Lovett, Kelsey Jones, Mollie Davis and Joey Wozniak in various College Hill capacities. Each of them bring a wealth of talent and passion for their adopted community.

Mollie Davis

Major: Marketing & Management with a Minor in Technical Communications

Hometown: Fayetteville, Ga.

When I’m not interning at College Hill, you may find me . . . (most recently) studying for the LSAT.

Favorite Part of the Corridor: Washington Park & the Soap Box Derby!

Dream for the Corridor: I’d love to see a thriving industry in the area to retain college graduates… and an ice cream shop in the Corridor!

Kelsey Jones

Major: Business Marketing

Hometown: Leesburg, Ga.

When I’m not interning at College Hill, you may find me . . . at Plunkett Pool.

Favorite Park of the Corridor: Its people. I think the social fabric of this community is absolutely wonderful because its people make it so. I consider myself blessed to have called Macon home for almost four years now.

Dream for the Corridor: I would love to see Macon get some more statewide and even national attention. With all the festivals, events, and rich history we have to offer, I would love to see people start making a visit to check us out!

Josh Lovett

Major: BBA Mercer 13’ Masters in Higher Education Leadership

Hometown: Adel, Ga.

When I’m not interning at College Hill, you may find me . . . along the banks of the Ocmulgee river enjoying the history of Macon that runs deep into the past of Native America.

Favorite Part of the Corridor: The spectacular views of downtown seen from Coleman Hill.

Dream for the Corridor: I would like to see more of the spread of civic engagement and passion that has reignited the urban core of our city and the Corridor area to spread block by block until Macon becomes re-centered in our state as the vibrant and unique hub it has always been destined to be.

Joey Wozniak

Major: Political Science and Economics

Hometown: Dublin, Ga.

When I’m not interning at College Hill, you may find me . . . eating at one of my favorite places, the Bear’s Den or Francar’s Wings.

Favorite Part of the Corridor: Washington Park

Dream for the Corridor: I would like to see more development of Tattnall Square Park and better utilization of the area by the surrounding community including Mercer.
